Stormy weathers coming in on the Caribbean Island of Roatan.
Located between the Equator and the Tropic of Cancer, Roatan enjoys a tropical climate. The annual temperature average is around 86 degrees Fahrenheit, and the average humidity level is 77%.
Although it can be hot and humid on the island, the steady breeze wafting from the Caribbean Sea helps cool the temperatures to a more comfortable level. Here, you can expect one sunny day after the other, with the warmest temperatures often experienced only from April to July.
As a tropical island, Roatan enjoys two types of seasons: dry and rainy. Fortunately, the island’s dry seasons are typically mild, which helps keep it green and thriving the entire year.
When it comes to the rainy season, you can expect an average rainfall of around 87 inches, spanning an average of 112 days, with the most rain happening during the months of October to December.
Despite the rain and sometimes high temperatures, Roatan typically enjoys fair weather, thanks to its unique location in the Caribbean. Aside from this, its position also means that it’s well-protected against natural hazards like hurricanes.
In fact, according to the island’s statistics, Roatan only experiences a single hurricane every 26 years, unlike most of the other islands in the Caribbean, where hurricanes are a yearly issue. This makes it a more attractive location for real estate investments compared to the other Caribbean islands.
